About the role
Mission/Internship Opportunity - Heritage Ministry and Service Ambassador Team
Heritage Retreat is a peaceful environment for retreats and events where guests can seek, find, and renew faith while escaping daily distractions. We host retreats and provide a place for other organizations to hold their own, as well as accommodate individual and small-group retreats. Heritage Retreat is built on the first Catholic settlement in Georgia. Located in Sharon, GA, this 200-acre retreat is a sacred destination of faith, history, and beauty. It includes the historic church and sacred cemeteries, which provide a space for profound spiritual renewal and community connection.
Each year at Heritage, we recruit 4 young adults ages 21-26 for the Ministry & Service Ambassador program (MSA). This opportunity is a combination of mission and paid internship for young men and women who have a servant’s heart and would like to spend a year (August 1-July 31) at Heritage serving those who visit.
What to expect as an MSA:
Serve as a member of the Heritage MSA team by completing daily hospitality tasks as assigned.
Acquire training and real-world working experience in industries of hospitality, nonprofits, sales & marketing, event planning, and facilities, and learn how to use these skills in the workplace to glorify God.
Experience opportunities for faith formation that will foster a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His people, while taking the time at Heritage for your own discernment.
Join in the efforts to continue the revitalization of the first Catholic settlement in Georgia.
What sets us apart from other missions or internships is that generous donors have supported this program, so:
No self-fundraising
Housing provided
Monthly stipend provided
